About Jerome Front, LMFT

Jerome Front, LMFT #MFT30359 CAMFT / CEPA #015848 has a private-practice in Studio City, CA as a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and teaches weekly Mindfulness Meditation Classes. An experienced leader of innovative Mindfulness Training workshops and retreats for more than 24 years, Jerome is a California Provider of C.E.U.s for MFTs and LCSWs. He is a year-round Adjunct Faculty member in The Graduate School of Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. In 2000, Jerome created and teaches the first full-length (non-seminar) Graduate Course in the country towards Degree Credit in Clinical Psychology titled: "Mindfulness and Psychotherapy." This Course is also the first of its kind in an APA-approved Doctoral Program. In 1994, he created an experiential training for therapists utilizing mindfulness- and contemplative-based perspectives called: "The Retreat Workshop: A Day of Mindfulness Training" which has been offered two three each year since then.

 

Jerome has been an invited clinical speaker / retreat leader on Mindfulness at many clinical forums including

+ UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center,

+ American Association of Pediatrics, So. Cal,

+ Medical Social Workers Association, 

+ National Institute for the Clinical Behavioral Medicine, 

+ International Psychotherapy Networker Conference,

+ And as an instructor at the UCLA Mindfulness & Psychotherapy Conference featuring Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.  

 

The focus of this work is to provide a study forum, a center for Mindfulness & Psychotherapy in the Los Angeles area and emphasize the development of essential skills and relational qualities through mindfulness-based trainings and experiential contemplative methodologies. He has published in this area, including the cover story about mindfulness and relationships, "A Quiet Revolution: Therapists Are Finding New Ways to Be With Their Clients" in the 2008 Psychotherapy Networker.  

 

He leads an annual Retreat Weekend each May at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, CA., and is also an organizational mindfulness consultant on wellness to both Fortune 100 Companies and national organizations. These companies have included WellPoint/ Blue Cross for four years as well as Head Start Programs of Southern California. Education seminars have been provided on mindfulness and contemplative education at the High School Level (e.g., Burbank High School Music Camp) and at the elementary level to teachers and staff at St. Francis De Sales in Sherman Oaks, CA. He is currently writing two articles: including one on Contemplative Methodologies and another on Everyday Mindfulness.

 

Jerome has had his own meditation practice since 1989. His own extensive training and exposure to contemplative-related work includes three separate 7-day intensive professional training intensives in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) led by Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli since 1997. MBSR has served as the basis for many cutting-edge CBT protocols including Teasdale, Williams and Segal’s Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for Depression. MBSR Jerome has attended CEU Mindfulness-focused Trainings as well as Contemplative Workshops or Retreats led by Thich Nhat Hanh, Jack Kornfield, Roger Walsh, Sylvia Boorstein, Joanna Macy, Thomas Keating, Shinzen Young, Jeffrey Ruben, Sharon Saltzberg, Hye Wol Sunim, Matthew Fox, Joan Halifax, Jim Finley, James Grotstein and others.

 

Our Studio City location provides a Los Angeles area center for mindfulness and psychotherapy as well as mindfulness meditation by Zoom and at local retreat centers.

About Anne Front, LMFT

Anne McComas Front, LMFT, #MFT36392 is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Advanced Palliative Hospice Social Worker (APHSW-C) with a private practice in Studio City, CA.  She addresses a variety of issues including relationships, depression, anxiety, chronic illness, cancer, caregiver support and addictions.   She uses as blend of object relations, solution focused therapy and motivational interviewing to guide individualized treatment with clients  and families.  

 

Anne is a Palliative Care and Bereavement Specialist and provides counseling in the  hospital, assisted living and outpatient settings.   She has also has extensive experience working with chronic and acute mental health issues, addictions and eating disorders.
