Writing as Healing
Write the secrets in the dark night.
Write if there was no tomorrow.
Write when your eyes are drooping with barely a drop left.
Write even when you have nothing to say and everything to do.
Write when your inner critic tells you it’s already been said, that you aren’t smart enough.
Write after a summer rain, a cool bath, a bucket of tears pour from your eyes.
Write in honor of those who hold truth wrapped up in their heart behind prison walls.
Write for those who didn’t get a chance to live their dreams.
Write in spite of the little child in the corner afraid of what to say
.
Write when the moon is full and your heart is open.
